What is the science of impact?

Many of us, whether we are academic researchers, environmental practitioners, or social change leaders, seek to “make a difference” with our work. Sometimes our efforts are effective and get us the results we seek, but often they do not achieve their full potential. The science of impact is evidence-based knowledge and practice that can help us to rethink how we seek to inform, engage with, and influence society, whether we are working with communities, institutions, or policymakers.

Our work is based on decades of published research and practice in the fields of environmental conservation, international development, and participatory research - click on the papers below to learn more.
